Uli Ipob Community Security is not associated with Ipob the Separatist Group.

 So many citizen of Nigeria are actually confused about the use of the name ''IPOB''. Well, Ipob simply means The Indigenous People  of Biafra.  Generally, all the 5 states in the southeastern Nigeria  are known as the Indigenous People of Biafra. The states are Enugu, Imo, Anambra, Ebonyi and Abia State. Everyone in this states is referred to as an Indigenous People of Biafra. For this reason anyone can easily use the name Ipob to create a group or form a local  security in the southeast.  There are many groups formed with the name ''Ipob'' but they are not in any way associated with the Separatist group. Uli Ipob community security is a typical example.This is a local vigilante security that have existed before the Separatist group was formed. Uli Ipob community security was founded in 2003 by youths of Uli. Their primary aim is to secure and protect the entire Uli community.
